G	Gabriella De Rosa on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il Bar Cavour di Rimini è un luogo ormai"storico" , nel senso che tutti o quasi i Riminesi che frequentano il centro della città lo conoscono e qui si ritrovano quotidianamente(tranne il martedì) per un buon caffè o un ottimo aperitivo, all'interno della struttura oppure nella piacevole veranda esterna, piacevole anche d'inverno sia perchè è riscaldata, sia perchè si ha un'ottima vista della bellissima Piazza Cavour. A me piace ritrovarmi con le amiche per un caffè di metà mattinata che ti dà la carica giusta per il resto della giornata, oppure per un perfetto Aperol Spritz accompagnato da buonissimi stuzzichini preparati al momento. Devo dire che nella zona sono i migliori. Andateci anche per festeggiare un compleanno con una buona bottiglia di champagne che non guasta mai: io l'ho fatto! I segni del tempo sono inequivocabili, gli zampilli di acqua molto irregolari e la struttura degradata e usurata. Anche la posizione, leggermente defilata, non é ottimale per valorizzare la fontana incastonata in una piazza circondata da edifici di buona fattura e trasudanti di storia e arte. Molto più antico è infatti il tamburo che sostiene la Pigna, risalente all'epoca romana e ricco di bassorilievi. La bellezza e la forma dei giochi d'acqua incantò anche Leonardo da Vinci la cui testimonianza è incisa sul monumento: "Fassi un'armonia con le diverse cadute d'acqua, come vedesti alla fonte di Rimini." Leonardo giunse infatti a Rimini come ingegnere e consigliere militare di Cesare Borgia, e rimase colpito dal gioioso suono delle cannelle d’acqua della fontana principale della Città. Come lui stesso scrive: "Fassi un’armonia colle diverse cadute d’acqua, come vedesti alla fonte di Rimini, come vedesti addì 8 d’agosto 1502". Questa armonia gli avrebbe suggerito l’idea di costruire un organo idraulico utilizzando l’acqua non come pompa per comprimere l’aria, come accadeva negli organi tradizionali conosciuti, ma facendo suonare l’acqua stessa che cadeva dentro vasi di diversa forma. Storia: In questo luogo, il più importante della città era presente una fontana d’acqua potabile sin dall’antica Roma, per molti secoli è stata l’unico luogo della città dove era l’acqua potabile, fino al 1912 quando venne costruito l’acquedotto pubblico. Fu completamente ristrutturata nella prima metà del XVI secolo, il tamburo e i bassorilievi sono quelli originali dell’antica fontana. Descrizione dell’Opera: La Fontana in marmo bianco è stata restaurata nel 2002, è un bellissimo esempio di architettura rinascimentale con una forma poligonale e con tamburi sovrapposti. A fior di terra è presente la prima vasca, sulla quale è sovrapposta una vasca più piccola con la stessa forma e con quindici cannelle disposte circolarmente. Il tamburo più alto è quello originale dell’antica Roma ed è ricco di bassorilievi e sorregge una pigna di epoca più moderna. La bellezza della fontana è testimoniata anche da una iscrizione sulla fontana che ricorda quale suggestione creò, la sua visione, a Leonardo da Vinci (1452 – 1519): “Fassi un'armonia con le diverse cadute d'acqua, come vedesti alla fonte di Rimini, come vedesti addì 5 d'agosto 1502”.
