Inaugurato nel 1914 per l'illuminazione del porto e del tratto costiero di Rio Marina, venne fatto edificare dalla Regia Marina e rimase in funzione fino al 1960.
Maritime decommissioned lighthouse of the Piombino channel that went along the outer dock of the port of Rio Marina on the east coast of the island of Elba. Inaugurated in 1914 for the lighting of the port and the coastal stretch of Rio Marina, it was built by the Regia Marina and remained in operation until 1960.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really enjoyed Rio Marina. Among all the cities in the Elba Island, this is the most typical one. The major of the city, in fact, was an old miner that disliked tourism, resulting in a city that better saves its appearance instead of all the others. It really deserves a visit, especially during the night.
