★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Once we got past the cosmetics sales person, we met a lovely pharmacist who helped with a simple request. I asked about sales tax at a local restaurant and she was disgusted that they were taking advantage of tourists, so much so she bestowed a few gifts upon us. I told her that was not necessary and her generosity and sincerity were proof that the people of Rome are good people but she insisted. What a lovely young woman you have here and that is how we’ll remember the historic city.
