β β β β β quality food, at reasonable prices. They often discount - which is sooo nice, given the large selection of quality wines and local food. U will need their card, though, which is free, and takes no time to get.

And I think it is one of the best super market in Italy...
The best option is they will give us sconto card..
If we have that card we will have discount on the products.....
Not all the products but in some products we will surely get discount...
Something is better than nothing....

β β β β β Esselunga is the top end of supermarkets in Italy. Quality & offer are the top,with wide range if mid & high level products. This esselunga was build a few years ago, with modern lifts, very wide underground parking. Conveniently located not far from motorways to/from Genova & Bologna, very close to tram stops & not far from a metro station of the yellow (3) line serving most of Milan train stations. A few notes. Esselunga was the first supermarket company established in Italy by the late Vittorio Caprotti, thanks to the support of a Rothschild friend. Now it employees more than 20.000 people. The first shop opened in Milan in Viale Regina Giovanna.

β β β β β It's my preferred Supermarket... Generally speaking it is well "projected" good prices, wide choice, quite logical display of the products. The only things i dont like is the extreme difference in price between points... By example viale Umbria milano is dramatically less expensive than the one in Melegnano... I don't like too much their own first price "smart" brand. It replaced other products much better... Take the cola... Smart vs Guizza... Or mozzarella smart compared to the previous one or compared to other supermarket first line brands...
My personal opinion is that with the smart brand they pushed too much to save money... Btw i like esselunga i hope to have it in Lodi sooner or later...
