★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Eremo bellissimo costituito da 3 chiese sovrapposte. La tradizione vuole che nella grotta retrostante la chiesa si ritirasse in preghiera San Francesco.
La chiesa inferiore è interamente decorata con affreschi trecenteschi attribuiti a Cola Petruccioli, con la Crocifissione, le Stimmate di san Francesco, l'Annunciazione, la Madonna ed evangelisti.
Nella chiesa superiore si trovano altri affreschi del Petruccioli, con Storie di Maria Maddalena e della vita della Vergine.
Gentilissimo il custode che ci ha aperto nonostante fossimo fuori orario e ci ha fatto da perfetto cicerone.
We will be beautiful with 3 superimposed churches. Tradition has it that in the cave behind the church, Saint Francis retired to pray.
The lower church is entirely decorated with fourteenth-century frescoes attributed to Cola Petruccioli, with the Crucifixion, the Stigmata of St. Francis, the Annunciation, the Madonna and evangelists.
In the upper church there are other frescoes by Petruccioli, with Stories of Mary Magdalene and of the life of the Virgin.
Very kind the caretaker who opened us despite we were out of hours and made us the perfect guide.

Ambiente ben tenuto ad opera della Comunità Mondo X di padre Eligio che si occupa della riabilitazione di ragazzi problematici, che la gestisce. Siamo stati accolti da un ragazzo cosiddetto "problematico" che ci ha aperto la chiesa dandoci una descrizione dettagliata. Gentilissimo ci ha accolto nell Eremo vicino dove questi ragazzi vivono e lavorano facendo così un percorso di riabilitazione. Interessante è anche la grotta di San Francesco che sta dietro, sulla montagna anche se x visitarne l interno bisogna rivolgersi al parco archeologico di belverde.
Wonderful structure composed of 3 superimposed churches. Well maintained environment by the Mondo X Community of Father Eligio who deals with the rehabilitation of problematic children, who manages it. We were greeted by a so-called "problematic" guy who opened the church to us and gave us a detailed description. Very kind welcomed us in the nearby Hermitage where these guys live and work, thus making a rehabilitation path. Also interesting is the cave of San Francesco which is behind it, on the mountain even if to visit the inside you have to go to the archaeological park of belverde.
