★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bella chiesa nella parte più antica di Cetona. Venne costruita tra il XII e il XIII secolo. In origine aveva una sola navata; quella laterale venne aggiunta nella seconda metà del XVI secolo.
Al suo interno si trovano alcuni affreschi del tardo Quattrocento, tra cui una "Madonna Assunta", attribuita al Pinturicchio, e una Madonna col Bambino e un santo di un artista anonimo. Belle anche alcune tele tardo seicentesche, tra le quali un San Carlo Borromeo e una Madonna con santi.
Presso il fonte battesimale si trova un affresco cinquecentesco con Santa Caterina d'Alessandria e sant'Antonio Abate.
Sul piazzale antistante alla chiesa troviamo un bel pozzo.
Beautiful church in the oldest part of Cetona. It was built between the 12th and 13th centuries. Originally it had only one nave; the side one was added in the second half of the sixteenth century.
Inside there are some frescoes from the late fifteenth century, including a "Madonna Assunta", attributed to Pinturicchio, and a Madonna with Child and a saint of an anonymous artist. Fine also some late seventeenth-century paintings, among which a San Carlo Borromeo and a Madonna with saints.
At the baptismal font there is a 16th century fresco with Saint Catherine of Alexandria and Saint Anthony the Abbot.
On the square in front of the church we find a beautiful well.
