★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful store, with a mix of artisanal, and ... some not so artisanal stuff. But what was absolutely unique was the reception from the owner, showing how to do the traditional Florence paper printing. Showing and interacting with the kids in an extremely empathic way. And then, in the end, nobody pushing you to by any stuff (although difficult to resist...) So, a wonderful human experience, which is something that you cannot get from any online shopping ;-)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The owner, a 5th generation book binder, is happy to talk to you about the bookbinding trade and will take you into his workshop. Ask him about any of the prints and he can tell you how he designed them, or which designs he found in flea markets. He makes a point that there is no pressure to buy anything, but with the beauty of his work you are going to want to!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A must-see shop if you ever come to Florence and want to buy a unique souvenir or just admire what it has to offer. The creations are handmade and very beautiful and the owner is such a pleasant person who is clearly passionate about his art. He invited us to see how he does paper marbling and then showed us around his shop. Overall it was a very lovely experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Skip all the other stationary and paper crafts in Florence and go here for a conversation about Florentine paper. Wax poetic and compare your favourite artwork with the proprietors. Lose all sense of time as they share their concern for the loss of small artisans and authentic crafts in their beloved city. Besides journals, cards and paper they all carry a selection of ceramic and fabric arts from their friends.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ During my semester abroad in Florence, this was one of my favorite shops to visit. The products in this shop are beautiful and so skillfully hand made. The owner even demonstrates how the marble paper that they make their products out of are made; I was able to see the little show three times lol. I had the pleasure of becoming friends with the owner of this store, he is an incredibly genuine and kind man, and he even let me work with him to make a piece of paper during one of my many visits. As my time comes to a close here in Florence, this shop, and my new friend, are one of the things I am going to miss most about this city. If you ever make it to Florence, I highly suggest you stop in and see the magic for yourself. :)
