★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Porta Crucia l"ho scoperta perché è una fermata del mini metrò, fantastico anche se limitato mezzo di trasporto, vicino porta Eburnea : la mia meta!! Essa è una delle bellissime porte di Perugia e fu commissionata dal governatore pontificio Antonio Santacroce da cui prese il nome. Porte, mura, musei, chiese , monumenti, monasteri, teatri, università e alta formazione, fanno di Perugia una splendida e completa città. Ognuno può trovare un posto da visitare che soddisfi le sue esigenze. I posti in cui si mangia bene sono tanti; la pizzeria in cui io ho mangiato una ottima pizza" la mediterranea"!! Peccato che non sia particolarmente pulita e ciò non solo per colpa dei cani, che sono tanti, e dei loro padroni che fanno i distratti!! ma anche per colpa di tanti incivili e maleducati.. Qualche controllo in più potrebbe risolvere il problema. La rivedo ogni volta con piacere ed interesse sempre nuovo.
Porta Crucia I discovered it because it is a mini metro stop, fantastic even if limited means of transport, near Porta Eburnea: my destination! It is one of the beautiful gates of Perugia and was commissioned by the papal governor Antonio Santacroce from whom he took the name. Doors, walls, museums, churches, monuments, monasteries, theaters, universities and higher education, make Perugia a splendid and complete city. Everyone can find a place to visit that meets their needs. The places where you can eat well there are many, the pizzeria where I ate an excellent pizza "the Mediterranean" !! Too bad it's not particularly clean and this is not only because of the dogs, which are many, and their owners who are distracted !! also because of so many uncivilized and rude people .. A few more checks could solve the problem.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Attraversando Porta Crucia (detta anche "Porta Eburnea Nuova", da non confondere con Porta Eburnea, ovvero l'Arco della Mandorla, che si trova nella stessa zona a breve distanza) è possibile accedere a Via Eburnea provenendo da via Fiorenzo di Lorenzo. Si tratta di un arco a tutto sesto dotato, nella parte superiore, di una lapide con epigrafe in latino che, oltre all'anno e al committente, ne riporta il nome ("cruciam portam...").
Crossing Porta Crucia (also called "Porta Eburnea Nuova", not to be confused with Porta Eburnea, or the Arco della Mandorla, which is located in the same area a short distance away) it is possible to access Via Eburnea coming from via Fiorenzo di Lorenzo. It is a round arch endowed, in the upper part, with a plaque with an epigraph in Latin which, in addition to the year and the client, gives its name ("cruciam portam ...").
