This is one of the best art gallery we have ever visited in all our years of travel. The paintings are amazing mainly of a religious nature dating from the 11th century onwards set in 40 rooms, so be prepared to spend at least four hours to see it all. A good tip is to buy the guide book when you buy your tickets, so you can follow the paintings in each room. Don't miss this place if you visit Perugia, you will not be disappointed .

Well exhibited worth a good couple of hours. Weird exhibit on bubbles though.

Surely a great gallery. It's full of sacred pictures if you like them, but all this sacred pictures reveal the history of Italy if you let and interpret them. The staff inside is helpful and additionally the palace can host specific shows: for example I was there when it was running a show, specifically on bubbles with all the pictures with bubbles, with the commercial pic in the starting of 1900 plus the scientific part of the bubbles.

Large and amazing collection of umbrian paintings, superbly displayed in the city's most beautiful building, and which one can enjoy quietly.

It was very interesting, although most of the paintings were on Christian theme. All the staff were friendly and smiling.

One of the finest museums in Italy with paintings from middle age to late Renaissance. There are around 40 rooms over two storeys with also some beautiful temporary exhibitions, so take into consideration plenty of time when visiting. There is a combined ticket with other museums in the city worth considering, but also take into account that there are a few reductions and free entries for some categories such as teachers. The collection is awesome and very well organised, with every piece having reasonable space around it to fully enjoy it and the rooms are big and never crammed with people. The only thing I thought could be improved is the lighting in a couple of room (Piero della Francesca painting, beato Angelico's and a couple of Perugino's) where the direct light impacting on the canvas makes it difficult to fully appreciate the amazing works.
