★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are looking for a place to stay in Catania, this place is awesome. It is palatial with high ceilings and huge French doors. The tile work is lovely, the kitchen is perfect and well-stocked with essentials, and the location is right where you would want to be. It is a bit noisy as the fish market is right there, but that also makes it fun (and convenient for stocking the kitchen). There is a little bar that seems to just serve family and friends on the street right underneath the bedroom, and they chat on-and-on till the wee hours, but if you close the bedroom French doors it is dead silent (they are very good quality) and you can still leave other doors open in the apartment if you like the airflow. And Giovanni is a great host! We can't recommend this place more highly.
