One of my favorite squares. Clean, welcoming, the cathedral with double bell tower positioned in the center, the buildings overlooking the pizza create a magical atmosphere, especially during the Christmas period

Qui si svolgono i mercatini natalizi così famosi.
Sulla piazza si affaccia il Castello dei Principi-vescovi, il bellissimo Duomo, edifici medioevali e rinascimentali, vicoli medioevali e i portici antichi.
È zona assolutamente pedonale ( i posteggi più vicini sono quelli vicino alla Torre Bianca oppure, un po' più distanti, quelli vicini alle piscine).
It is the heart of Brixen.
Here are the famous Christmas markets.
On the square there is the Castle of the Princes-Bishops, the beautiful Cathedral, medieval and Renaissance buildings, medieval alleys and ancient arcades.
It is an absolutely pedestrian area (the closest stands are those near the White Tower or, a little further away, those near the pools).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a really beautiful city square outside the city church. At the moment (may 2019) there is quite a lot of construction going on, but it is definitely worth a visit if you are in Brixen. When here make sure to visit the ice cream shop just around the corner. They have the best ice cream in town. On the square there is also a nice cafe with outdoor tables.
