Questa associazione, un po' nascosta in una stradina, è invece decisamente originale. Il proprietario, di origine tedesca, ma di vari ascendenti, vi accoglie con gentilezza in questa tana dalle pareti in pietra, arredata con uno stile che ricorda il cinquecento, curato in ogni dettaglio. I piatti, che lui cucina personalmente sono saporiti, molto gustosi, espressione di una cucina tradizionale, anche se non facilmente inquadrabile. Ingredienti tutti di qualità. Il sugo di cinghiale delle pappardelle assolutamente eccellente; gli gnocchi di consistenza ideale con un coraggioso zucca/feta/guanciale innovativi e decisamente piacevoli. Arrosto con polenta molto equilibrato e saporito, tenerissimo. Appena troppo pastoso in bocca il dolce di cioccolato e pere comunque gradevole. menù ristretto, ma si sente la passione con la quale il cuoco cucina. Poche pietanze ma dal gusto unico...fantastici sapori che rispettano la tradizione ma che vanno oltre confine... In più siamo stati accolti da Guido....Ci ha cucinato Guido....ci ha servito e consigliato Guido...praticamente una persona unica come presenza e di fatto!!!! La sua filosofia culinaria lo rende unico e raro!!!! Bravo Guido continua così e grazie ancora. To start a well-kept environment .... clean ... intimate and at the same time particular ... Luci soffuse e arredo tipico, un' atmosfera calda che non conosce orologio: tra antichi cimeli, vini e animali impagliati spiccano bellissimi fiori dal colore acceso che illuminano la sala donando un tono di giovane freschezza a questa piccola tana del gusto. Il ristorante è gestito da Superman, un uomo che fa tutto: cucina, ordina e serve. Di tutti i ristoranti di Calcata, questo è il migliore, perché si mangia bene, si sta in compagnia (non verrete mai trattati come semplici clienti) e soprattutto si ride. In such attractive location, few days ago I had my lunch, starting with a succulent appetizer made of local salumi and having then a full course of viel cutlet in white wine as accompanied with tender green salad. The wine was an irresistable Chianti DOC. Smashing experience indeed ! I'll be back soon.
