Avant les années 1940 et mussolini, il était connu pour ses productions de soie. Par après beaucoup d'habitants ont immigrés et le village abandonné a perdu de l'intérêt. Les maisons sont devenues taudis.... Depuis qu'on y a tourné des scènes du film "il padrino", les touristes y affluent en contribuant à renflouer les caisses..... Les maisons sont restaurées petit à petit... Borgo caratteristico ricco di storia e un Belvedere da non perdere assolutamente. Un vero balcone di Sicilia. Lovely village with breathtaking views of the Ionian Sea, Mount Etna and Calabria. Just above the splendid Capo S. Alessio. Characteristic village rich in history and a Belvedere not to be missed. A true balcony of Sicily.
A	Antonio Natale Testa on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Non è la prima volta che vengo in questo Paesino che deve la sua notorietà per la ristorazione e bene ha pensato il Signor Sindaco di approfittare, dell'alta affluenza di turisti, per rimpinguare le casse del Comune, spennando i turisti con dei fantomatici parcheggi in dirupi campagnoli sprovvisti di illuminazione, segnaletica e parcheggiatori fantasmi che si dileguano una volta che le persone hanno già pagato. Per giunta vicino ad una caserma dei Carabinieri, che a mio avviso dovrebbe vigilare sulla legalità di questo provvedimento. Quindi un particolare complimento al primo cittadino che ci manda a parcheggiare in campagna, al buio e privo di strisce bianche o blu che siano. ???
