La facciata è una vera chicca: sulla parete portante in pietra locale, si innestano degli inserti in mattoncini rossi (lesene, trabeazioni e bordi del timpano) che conferiscono grande forza scultorea e rimandano alle geometrie compositive di un tempio classico. Di notevole pregio è pure il portale d'ingresso, finemente decorato con bassorieli dai motivi a candelabra, che, con il suo bianco vivido stacca fortemente rispetto agli adiacenti colori della facciata. Il sacrato della chiesa dialoga finemente con la sua facciata, distinguendosi dal resto dell'antistante piazzetta grazie al dualismo materico costituito da un tappeto di ciottoli bianchi suddiviso in comparti rettangolari da strisce sempre di mattone rosso. Il corpo dell'edificio è unito architettonicamente -su un fianco- alla porta di accesso al paese, sovrastata dalla torre con l'orologio, definendo così un brano di paese di grande fascino antico. Varcata la porta, verso l'esterno al paese, ci si trova in un piccolo largo belvedere con vista mozzafiato sulla conca ternana. Fortemente consigliata una visita, sia alla chiesa che, a tutto Collescipoli in generale. Small-extraordinary architectural jewel hidden in the beautiful hamlet of Collescipoli in the province of Terni. The façade is a real gem: red brick inserts (pilasters, trabeations and edges of the tympanum) are grafted onto the bearing wall in local stone, giving great sculptural strength and referring to the compositional geometries of a classical temple. The entrance portal is also of considerable value, finely decorated with bas-reliefs with candelabra motifs, which with its vivid white stands out strongly from the adjacent colors of the facade. The churchyard interacts finely with its façade, distinguishing itself from the rest of the square in front of it thanks to the material dualism consisting of a carpet of white pebbles divided into rectangular sections by strips of red brick. The body of the building is architecturally joined - on one side - to the entrance door to the town, dominated by the tower with the clock, thus defining a piece of town of great ancient charm. Once through the door, towards the outside of the town, you find yourself in a small wide belvedere with a breathtaking view of the Terni basin. A visit is strongly recommended, both to the church and to all of Collescipoli in general.
