This is very important and interesting museum covering lots of different eras in early history and showing many artefacts from Milan as well as from other locations in Italy. Very reasonable admission price and great views of the towers.

The museum Try to dedicate at least a couple of hours to it. is pretty big. I found the Egyptian section of it fascinating! When we went, there was no audio guide so there was a lot to read, but it's all well written and they have everything in English

Excellent small museum, lot of explanations, good texts, almost all in english too. Great small articles about people, excavations and history. Good maps of ancient Mediolanum (Milan). Roman, Greek and Etruscan exhibits. Access to the tower of lost circus. Epigrapics of Roman inscriptions translated. No store or bookshop or cafeteria. Remains of imperial palace just next door. Air conditioning. Small but very good, recommended.

Such a cool experience! There are various exhibits dating back to the different settlements and eras in the local history . . There is a small entrance fee and students get a discount ? Overall, totally worth the visit!

This museum has lots to offer: classes for kids, permanent exhibits of Greek, Etruscan, Roman, and Indian art... it is set inside the ancient walls of the Late Roman city of Mediolanum, when Massimianus was one of the tetrarchs (IV d.C.). If you love to dig deep into the history of Italy, I recommend to explore the many possibilities offered at this museum.

The museum itself is very interesting. The staff is helpful. But some visitors were not wearing masks at all and no one was warning them. It annoyed me during most of my visit.

Outstanding! Connected to adjacent church. Great exhibits explaining Greek, Etruscan, Roman, and pre-medieval and medieval life around Milan. Mostly wheelchair accessible. On grounds of ancient Roman circus with surviving tower and walls. Don't miss this hidden gem.
