★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Topped the list as far as residence goes in Sicilia and Italy. Resort style, new, clean, relaxed, located in the charming sea village of Acitrezza. Access to fish restaurant, small public beach, town life etc. For an immersion experience in a Sicilian sea side town without the hardship of travels (heat, language, confusion, traffic, grittiness, lack of toilet and toilet paper, confusion again), recommend to stay for a few days to kick start your trip in Sicily. People speak English and are courteous. Also Acitrezza is the location of an Italian film. Mostly flat. The pool is great. From here, you must visit mount Etna, and take the cable & the 4x4 mini bus to get to 500m to the summit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great hotel, very friendly staff, cleanliness and and amazing pool! Just minus one star for the breakfast - the good thing is: they bring it to your room. The bad thing is: it's not the best quality. Better have a bite outside.
