Delightful ancient church full of art and frescoes ... located in the beautiful historic center of Arona lake, 2 steps from the lake, railway station, national archaeological museum, cheap Italian bars and restaurants, clean, sanitized and valid .. shops and much more to see! !
T	Thea on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mentre stavo passeggiando una sera per Arona, ho avuto modo di visitare questa piccola chiesa che, nonostante l'ora ormai non proprio diurna, era ancora aperta! Ne sono rimasta piacevolmente sorpresa e ne ho approfittato per visitarla all'interno. È molto suggestiva anche se dall'esterno non sembrerebbe. La consiglio se siete in zona: gli affreschi e le statue sono estremamente curati! While I was walking one evening through Arona, I had the opportunity to visit this small church which, despite the now not quite daytime hour, was still open! I was pleasantly surprised and I took the opportunity to visit it inside. It is very impressive even if from the outside it would not seem. I recommend it if you are in the area: the frescoes and statues are extremely well kept!

La sua costruzione iniziò nel 1721 per volere dell'arciprete Isidoro Medone, ma i lavori si protrassero nel tempo fino al 1841 quando fu portata a termine la facciata. In seguito ha subito alcuni restauri soprattutto durante l'esondazione del lago Maggiore del 04 ottobre 1868 quando l'acqua raggiunse all'interno della chiesa i due metri e mezzo. A causa di altre inondazioni e nonostante altri restauri, l'edificio e gli affreschi risentono di un deterioramento dovuti principalmente all'umidità. Non conosco l'interno in quanto ho trovato la chiesa chiusa. Church located on the main street of Arona. Its construction began in 1721 at the behest of the archpriest Isidoro Medone, but the works continued over time until 1841 when the facade was completed. Later it underwent some restorations especially during the flooding of Lake Maggiore on 04 October 1868 when the water reached two and a half meters inside the church. Due to other floods and despite other restorations, the building and the frescoes suffer from deterioration mainly due to humidity. I don't know the inside as I found the church closed.
E	Enrico Pasquino on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Chiesa di Sant'Anna e San Gioacchino venne edificata tra il 1721 ed il 1749, proprio nel centro cittadino di allora ed in prossimità della riva del lago, al fine di testimoniare la vicinanza della Santa ai lavoratori e, in particolare, ai pescatori. All'inizio piuttosto spartana, nel tempo è stata completata sotto il profilo infrastrutturale ed adornata con pitture ed opere molto pregevoli. Un recente restauro complessivo, terminato nel 2008, ha riportato la Chiesa alla sua bellezza originale. The Church of Sant'Anna and San Gioacchino was built between 1721 and 1749, right in the city center of that time and near the shore of the lake, in order to witness the proximity of the Saint to the workers and, in particular, to the fishermen. At the beginning rather spartan, over time it was completed in terms of infrastructure and adorned with paintings and very valuable works. A recent overall restoration, completed in 2008, brought the Church back to its original beauty.
