Well, personally if you want to go Arona you don't a hole day unless if you have a lot of time. local foods are delicious and there are some good cheap restaurants as well. speaking italian will help. but MY BIG SUGGESTION is go up at the hill, just behind the small town, to see the best view around. its free of course. but be careful to when you come down, because it might be sleepy some times. enjoy
