★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bellissimo esempio di romanico laziale, la chiesa è stata costruita dentro il Cellomaio, le terme di età imperiale dell'antica Castra Albana. Come di consuetudine sono stati recuperati frammenti delle antiche terme per costruire alcune parti del presbiterio e decorare l'ingresso laterale. Ad una sola navata, l'ambiente si presenta spoglio ed essenziale trasportando il visitatore come in una macchina del tempo agli albori del cristianesimo. Alcuni resti di mosaico romano affiorano dal pavimento facendo immaginare come poteva essere l'ambiente quando ancora funzionavano le terme. L'atmosfera è però un pochino tetra perché la chiesa è poco illuminata. Il bellissimo e tipico campanile romanico è perfettamente conservato e si può ammirare anche sorseggiando un aperitivo, comodamente seduti, dalle finestre del piano superiore del Fortini Lab.
Beautiful example of Lazio Romanesque church was built in the Cellomaio, the imperial age baths of ancient Castra Albana. As usual fragments of the ancient baths have been recovered to build some parts of the presbytery and decorate the side entrance. For a single aisle, the environment is bare and essential transporting the visitor as in a time of the dawn of Christianity machine. Some remains of Roman mosaics emerge from the floor making us imagine how the environment could have been when the baths still worked. The atmosphere, however, is a bit bleak because the church is not well lit. The beautiful and typical Romanesque bell tower is perfectly preserved and can also be admired sipping an aperitif, comfortably seated, from the windows of the upper floor of the Fortini Lab.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Affreschi in stile romanico. Mura in pietra grezza a vista in stile romanico. Bellissima e preziosa opera di architettura. Un pochino scomoda perchè ha l'entrata centrale su una stradina trafficata.
Frescoes in the Romanesque style. Raw stone walls in Romanesque style. Beautiful and precious work of architecture. A little uncomfortable because it has the central entrance on a busy street.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bellissima chiesa edificata sulle terme romane intorno all'anno 514, a fianco insiste un fantastico campanile romanico. All'interno si apre una grande navata, che comunque nonostante la grandezza dell'ambiente, ispira raccoglimento alla preghiera. Anche se siete di passaggio un semplice sguardo al bellissimo campanile e alla piazza vi ripagherà di qualche minuto perso.
Beautiful church built on the Roman baths around the year 514, alongside a fantastic Romanesque bell tower. Inside there is a large nave, which in spite of the size of the room, inspires recollection of prayer. Even if you are passing through, a simple look at the beautiful bell tower and the square will pay you back for a few minutes lost.
