Al suo interno sono presenti i resti di un prezioso pavimento ad opera del maestro Massa ( stesso autore del chiostro maiolicato di S. Chiara a Napoli ). Il soffitto ligneo a cassettone ed impreziosito con cornici in oro zecchino risalente al '700 è meraviglioso e ben conservato. Nei fine settimana e nei giorni festivi è teatro di una mostra multimediale (gratuita) molto coinvolgente che culmina nel racconto del cratere di Python che ritrae il mito di Edipo e la Sfinge. Il preposto che ha fatto da Cicerone è stata gentilissimo e molto esaustivo. Consigliatissimo On April 25th I visited this deconsecrated church. Inside there are the remains of a precious floor by master Massa (the same author of the majolica cloister of S. Chiara in Naples). The wooden coffered and embellished ceiling with pure gold frames dating back to the 18th century is wonderful and well preserved. On weekends and holidays it is the scene of a very engaging multimedia exhibition (free) that culminates in the story of Python's crater depicting the myth of Oedipus and the Sphinx. The person in charge of Cicero was very kind and very comprehensive. Highly recommended

Dopo anni, secoli in cui la chiesa è stata decorata e resa magnifica passo dopo passo, negli ultimi decenni la cittadina di Sant'Agata l'ha resa ancora più indimenticabile ospitando periodicamente eventi di rilevanza artistica tra cui le proiezioni luminose sulla pavimentazione di maioliche o l'esposizione al pubblico del Cratere di Assteas del IV secolo a.C. Vale la pena visitare la perla beneventana di Sant'Agata dei Goti e soffermarsi in questo incantevole posto. Decisamente molto consigliato! An evocative place where Baroque art blends with the avant-garde. After years, centuries in which the church was decorated and made magnificent step by step, in the last decades the town of Sant'Agata has made it even more unforgettable by periodically hosting events of artistic importance including the light projections on the majolica flooring or public display of the Assteas Crater from the 4th century BC It is worth visiting the Benevento pearl of Sant'Agata dei Goti and lingering in this enchanting place. Definitely highly recommended!
c	caro Town on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa di San Francesco sorge lungo il corso del centro storico di Sant'Agata de' Goti ed è parte di un complesso francescano appartenuto ai Frati Minori Conventuali. All'interno, sui bei soffitti lignei con dipinti di Tommaso d'Aquino, si possono ammirare scene dell’Antico Testamento, un’Annunciazione e un affresco raffigurante la Madonna del latte. Attualmente tutto il complesso è di proprietà del Comune ed è spesso sede di eventi e mostre. The church of San Francesco rises along the course of the historic center of Sant'Agata de 'Goti and is part of a Franciscan complex that belonged to the Friars Minor Conventual. Inside, on the beautiful wooden ceilings with paintings by Thomas Aquinas, you can admire scenes from the Old Testament, an Annunciation and a fresco depicting the Madonna del latte. Currently the whole complex is owned by the Municipality and is often the site of events and exhibitions.
