Risale al XIV secolo la preesistente struttura sul cui sito sorge la chiesa attuale. Di tale struttura restano due arcate nel lato nord e la cripta.
DescrizioneE' situata sul sito di una costruzione del XIV secolo, di cui restano due arcate nel lato nord e la cripta, realizzata in laterizio, con archi ogivali, coperta con volte a crociera in cui si trovano tracce di affreschi. L'impianto strutturale medievale è stato trasformato e rimodellato tra il XVII e il XVIII secolo. Il nucleo centrale dell'organismo architettonico è costituito da una doppia campata coperta a calotta, affiancata da quattro cappelle laterali, probabilmente pensate in origine come navate laterali, coperte a botte, che creano un effetto di dilatazione laterale dello spazio. L'impianto decorativo è affidato agli stucchi settecenteschi negli altari, nei pulpiti e nelle volte. La facciata presenta in corrispondenza della navata centrale un corpo principale avanzato, che si raccorda con i due corpi arretrati mediante elementi curvilinei. Interamente realizzata in laterizio, è divisa in due piani da una complessa cornice orizzontale, delimitata, lateralmente, da lesene spezzate che si raccordano con gli elementi curvilinei e, alla sommità, da un timpano triangolare.

The pre-existing structure on the site of the present church dates back to the 14th century. Of this structure remain two arches on the north side and the crypt.
Description It is located on the site of a 14th century building, of which two arches remain on the north side and the crypt, made of brick, with pointed arches, covered with cross vaults in which there are traces of frescoes. The medieval structural system was transformed and remodeled between the 17th and 18th centuries. The central core of the architectural organism is made up of a double span covered with a cap, flanked by four side chapels, probably originally thought of as side aisles, barrel-covered, which create an effect of lateral expansion of the space. The decorative system is entrusted to the eighteenth-century stuccoes in the altars, pulpits and vaults. The façade has an advanced main body in correspondence with the central nave, which is connected with the two rear bodies through curvilinear elements. Entirely made of brick, it is divided into two floors by a complex horizontal frame, delimited, laterally, by broken pilasters that connect with the curvilinear elements and, at the top, by a triangular gable.
