 Gorgeous on the outside. The interior is built largely with wood. It would need serious restoration work. Little valued a real shame.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Imponente questa collegiata di San Michele Arcangelo con il suo slanciato e alto campanile che dopo l’ultimo terremoto ha avuto necessità di una gabbia metallica per garantirne la stabilità. Esternamente la chiesa è affiancata da un ampio loggiato ed è qui che si trova l’ingresso principale racchiuso in un bel portale lavorato in pietra chiara. L’interno a due navate (la centrale e una laterale dedicata a San Giovanni) è in stile barocco, inevitabilmente un po’ pesante e cupo, ma con un bel soffitto a cassettoni lignei. Molti gli affreschi e gli altari laterali ricchi di decorazioni e statue alcune di importanti artisti.
This collegiate church of San Michele Arcangelo is imposing with its slender and tall bell tower which after the last earthquake needed a metal cage to ensure its stability. Externally, the church is flanked by a large loggia and it is here that the main entrance is located, enclosed in a beautiful portal worked in light stone. The interior with two naves (the central and one side dedicated to San Giovanni) is in Baroque style, inevitably a bit heavy and gloomy, but with a beautiful wooden coffered ceiling. There are many frescoes and side altars rich in decorations and statues, some by important artists.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Una chiesa importante ed affascinante, merita sicuramente una visita. All'interno si possono ammirare quattro splendidi altari in legno del XVII secolo. L'organo è in fase di restauro e anche altre parti della chiesa andrebbero riprese, come la cappella in fondo a sinistra, che ad ogni modo ha comunque un fascino notevole.
An important and fascinating church, it is certainly worth a visit. Inside you can admire four splendid wooden altars from the 17th century. The organ is being restored and other parts of the church should also be restored, such as the chapel at the bottom left, which in any case has a remarkable charm.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Posto incantevole con un soffitto in legno a cassettoni stupendo. Da visitare insieme a tutta la cittadina. Apprezzabile e molto gradevole la pulizia che regna in città. Un bel biglietto da visita!
Lovely place with a gorgeous wooden coffered ceiling. To visit together with the whole town. The cleanliness that reigns in the city is appreciable and very pleasant. A nice business card!
