I do not live in this area but it is our favorite Parish / Church ... not for nothing we chose it to celebrate our wedding back in 1981!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Con l'istituzione della nuova parrocchia nel 1963 iniziarono anche i lavori per la costruzione della nuova chiesa, a sud della città sulla sponda sinistra del fiume Basento, che venne intitolata alla Beata Vergine del Rosario di Pompei. Il progetto della nuova chiesa e del convento fu ideato da padre Angelo Maria da Novara, in seguito ridotto e adattato. I lavori si conclusero nel 1967 e il 5 dicembre il commissario provinciale dei cappuccini, padre Bonaventura da Pavullo, benedisse i nuovi locali del convento in cui si trasferì la famiglia religiosa francescana; la notte di Natale dello stesso anno anche la chiesa venne aperta al pubblico.
With the establishment of the new parish in 1963, work began on the construction of the new church, south of the city on the left bank of the Basento river, which was named after the Blessed Virgin of the Rosary of Pompeii. The design of the new church and convent was conceived by Father Angelo Maria da Novara, later reduced and adapted. The works ended in 1967 and on December 5 the provincial commissioner of the Capuchins, Father Bonaventura da Pavullo, blessed the new premises of the convent where the Franciscan religious family moved; on Christmas Eve of the same year the church was also opened to the public.
