β β β β β Ho conosciuto la chiesa di Santa Croce quando era ancora nelle mani di Don Pasquale , che di che se ne dica, io lo considero Grande uomo e Grande personaggio, ci ha lasciato non molto tempo fa Γ¨ subentrato un prete, che prima prestava servizio a Tito un paesino vicino Potenza, non ho avuto modo di conoscerlo, non mi sono ancora confessato con lui, ma a primo acchito mi sembra altrettanto bravo.

Croce di Nostro Signore GesΓΉ Cristo nasce nel 1970 nell'omonimo nuovo rione che si sviluppa sulla costa meridionale della collina su cui sorge il centro storico della cittΓ , tra il declivo che da S. Gerardo e S. Rocco scende fino al sottostante rione Lucania che guarda a valle il fiume Basento. Con i fondi della legge 168 del 18 aprile 1962 e con l'immancabile contributo della popolazione, che si sente pienamente coinvolta, e` stato possibile al Vescovo Sorrentino inaugurare, il 23 dicembre 1973, su progetto dellβarchitetto Dante Tassotti di Roma, il nuovo complesso parrocchiale che comprende la chiesa, la canonica e i locali destinati alle attivitΓ pastorali.
The parish of S. Croce di Nostro Signore GesΓΉ Cristo was born in 1970 in the homonymous new district that develops on the southern coast of the hill on which the historic center of the city stands, between the slope that descends from S. Gerardo and S. Rocco to to the Lucania district below that looks downstream on the Basento river. With funds from Law 168 of 18 April 1962 and with the inevitable contribution of the population, who feels fully involved, it was possible for Bishop Sorrentino to inaugurate, on 23 December 1973, on a project by the architect Dante Tassotti of Rome, the new parish complex which includes the church, the rectory and the premises for pastoral activities.
