★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa fu costruita a cavallo fra Cinque e Seicento, con lo scopo di diventare la nuova parrocchiale del paese, in luogo dell'allora decadente Pieve di San Lorenzo, ormai abbandonata da quando gli abitanti di Montiglio si erano stretti intorno al castello. Imponente, si fa notare soprattutto per il massiccio campanile in pietra a vista, sul cui lato sud è stata applicata una bella meridiana.
The church was built between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, with the aim of becoming the new parish church of the town, in place of the then decadent parish church of San Lorenzo, now abandoned since the inhabitants of Montiglio had gathered around the castle. Imposing, it is noted above all for the massive bell tower in exposed stone, on whose south side a beautiful sundial has been applied.
