F	Fabrizio Tonna on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Piccola chiesa vicino al centro di Borgomanero e che risale al II° o III° secolo dopo Cristo, riportata all' antico splendore dopo l' ultimo restauro degli anni '990. Al suo interno si possono trovare affreschi di tutte le epoche storiche, dall' alto medioevale sino al XIIV° secolo dopo Cristo, i vari restauri hanno evidenziato quanto la cultura dell' arte e la necessità di trasmettere un messaggio alla popolazione si sia evoluta nel tempo e di come una "semplice" chiesa fosse comunque un simbolo di potere e presenza sulla popolazione medioevale. Oltre alla parte visiva ed artistica anche quella architettonica ha avuto una notevole espressione, infatti le finestre originali erano solo tre e tutte orientate verso l' altare, la prima al sole nascente, la seconda al mezzogiorno e una al tramonto a simboleggiare la vita nel suo trascorrere e come al centro deve sempre esserci Dio e la Fede. Per nostra fortuna la chiesa era aperta e visitabile con addirittura delle guide che hanno ben raccontato tutti gli affreschi e le varie epoche storiche con richiami ed esempi anche su altre chiese e cattedrali internazionali. Andrebbe maggiormente usata e tenuta aperta, è un bene prezioso la Nostra Storia. Furono diverse le trasformazioni e i restauri che vennero apportati all’edificio, tra questi ricordiamo la costruzione del Voltone e la sopraelevazione del presbiterio, nel 1680. Sempre nello stesso secolo venne edificato anche il Trionfo dell'Immacolata per ospitare gli amministratori del Contado di Novara nel giuramento di fedeltà pubblica.Il monumento è assolutamente da visitare per poter godere degli affreschi e delle tele che vi sono all’interno, tutti realizzati tra il XIV e il XVII secolo. Le più conosciute tra queste sono le opere di Morazzone, illustre artista lombardo, che agli inizi del XVII secolo ha affrescato la Cappella di San Rocco e poco dopo quella di San Carlo. Gli affreschi di Morazzone raffigurano immagini di San Lorenzo diacono e San Lorenzo dal pozzo, tutti episodi della vita di San Rocco e raffigurazioni della Gloria di San Carlo. C	Cristina Ghielmetti on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Risalente al XII secolo, la Collegiata subisce diverse trasformazioni e restauri nei secoli XV, XVI e XVII. Dell'antica costruzione rimane il bel campanile in pietra che si affianca al corpo centrale della chiesa che mostra una facciata molto elaborata con un pronao, nicchie, archetti, finestroni, statue e due orologi simmetrici a decorarne la sommità. L'interno ad unica navata, interamente affrescato nelle pareti e nella volta, conserva opere preziose tra cui il famoso "Trittico di Borgomanero", tele del Morazzone e di altri artisti, uno splendido altare dorato, opera lignea di Antonio Pini inaugurato nel 1680. La Collegiata è facilmente raggiungibile, percorrendo un ampio corso pedonalizzato nel centro di Borgomanero, ai cui lati si affacciano altre chiese antiche che purtroppo abbiamo trovato chiuse, i cui campanili svettano uno dopo l'altro incuriosendo il visitatore. Molto pulito ed ordinato il centro cittadino, con diversi locali accoglienti, atmosfera tranquilla e rilassata, almeno questa è l'impressione che ne abbiamo avuta durante la nostra breve visita. Dating back to the 12th century, the Collegiate church underwent several transformations and restorations in the 15th, 16th and 17th centuries. Of the ancient building remains the beautiful stone bell tower that joins the central body of the church which shows a very elaborate façade with a pronaos, niches, arches, large windows, statues and two symmetrical clocks decorating the top. The interior with a single nave, entirely frescoed in the walls and in the vault, preserves precious works including the famous "Trittico di Borgomanero", paintings by Morazzone and other artists, a splendid gilded altar, a wooden work by Antonio Pini inaugurated in 1680. The Collegiate Church is easily reachable along a wide pedestrianized street in the center of Borgomanero, whose sides are overlooked by other ancient churches which unfortunately we found closed, whose bell towers stand out one after the other, intriguing the visitor. The city center is very clean and tidy, with several cozy rooms, a calm and relaxed atmosphere, at least this is the impression we had on our brief visit.
