A	Antonio R on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa è datata al 1610 e sorge sul lungomare Garibaldi nel borgo marinaro Vaccarella. La facciata è neoclassica e presenta pilastri sormontati da capitelli ionici; sono ben visibili due lapidi in memoria di Garibaldi che al termine della vittoriosa battaglia del 20 luglio 1860 riposò sul sagrato. All’interno della chiesa si osservano stucchi di stile rococò. Sulla volta della navata è raffigurato un importante e imponente affresco eseguito da Scipio Manni nel 1762, rappresentante la Cacciata dei mercanti dal tempio. Dello stesso autore sono la Madonna della Neve, la Natività e l'Adorazione dei Magi dell’altare maggiore. In una nicchia a destra della navata centrale si trova Santo Expedito che, secondo la devozione popolare, è stato un martire cristiano considerato il santo patrono delle cause urgenti. The church dates back to 1610 and stands on the Garibaldi seafront in the fishing village of Vaccarella. The façade is neoclassical and has pillars surmounted by Ionic capitals; Two plaques are clearly visible in memory of Garibaldi who, at the end of the victorious battle of 20 July 1860, rested in the churchyard. Inside the church you can see Rococo-style stuccos. On the vault of the nave there is an important and imposing fresco painted by Scipio Manni in 1762, representing the Expulsion of the merchants from the temple. By the same author are the Madonna della Neve, the Nativity and the Adoration of the Magi on the main altar. In a niche to the right of the central nave is Santo Expedito who, according to popular devotion, was a Christian martyr considered the patron saint of urgent causes.
