★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a real interesting place. We visited it in early spring. So, there were no people, no hot weather. But, we had a very sunny day, a wonderful light wind and of cause so impressive sight-views. Someday we will back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I definitely reccomend going to see this in a tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable on the history of this fortress/castle and surrounding town. To me, it seemed like we were climbing for days, but if this over weight, double complete knee replacement gal can do it, so can you. The views from the top won't disappoint.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An amazing place with fabulous Views and fascinating History! It is deffinitely a must-see! A Fortress builth thriugh the centuries and ruled by many different peoples groups! And not least a beautiful kathedral inside the Walls. Very recommendable!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ walk along the main road to the north end of the complex along via addolorata and you will reach a cliff where the castle walls decend down to the sea with a small accessible road to follow this dramatic escarpment

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very big and nice set of castle buildings. Some things do not work or have to be removed again.
Despite all of these issues the castle is worth visiting. You will be able to make many aerial photos from the castle walls.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great castle. Perfect for fine weather. I thought about giving only 4 stars for the fact that All of the around 5 toilets are not maintained, means not cleaned and equipped with toilet paper. Great place but awful maintained although restorated with eu funding a couple of years ago!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is to visit! Do not miss the amazing panorama from the Normand Tower! There's also the Museum of the Tonnara, the "fishing" of tunafish through a system of nets under the Sea. It was an activity well known all over the island.
In Milazzo were fought battles that even sicilians do not remember anymore...
