★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gioiello manierista che pur essendo spogliato dei suoi beni rimane splendido. Consigliato vedere anche il piccolo antiquarium nella sagrestia, ingresso sull'altare.
 Mannerist jewel that despite being stripped of its possessions remains splendid. Also recommended to see the small antiquarium in the sacristy, entrance on the altar.

The Old Cathedral of Milazzo or the Old Cathedral of Santo Stefano Protomartire or Cathedral of Milazzo, stands on the esplanade of the Walled City and the main façade faces north. It is one of the largest churches in Milazzo. Belonging to the archdiocese of Messina-Lipari-Saint Lucia del Mela, vicariate of Milazzo under the patronage of San Francesco di Paola, archpriest of Milazzo.

Va visitato durante la visita alla cittadella perché di strada.

Lo spazio attualmente non viene utilizzato per funzioni sacre e si presenta vuoto e senza arredi liturgici. All’eterno degli ambienti si scoprono dettagli di grande pregio come marmi policromi intarsiati.
Recently renovated ancient cathedral. In some parts the restoration requires additions. The space is currently not used for sacred functions and is empty and without liturgical furnishings. In the eternal rooms you will discover details of great value such as inlaid polychrome marble.
