Había una virgen de porticella en el muro de la muralla y una viuda encontraba todos los días un pan y una moneda. El pueblo cuando conoce este milagro, decide levantar una iglesia dedicada a la Virgen. Y desde el mar se veía una luz que venía de ella; de ahí que al parecer una estrella se le atribuyese ese nombre. La chiesa si presenta molto ben curata e semplice nei dettagli. Una scalinata permette di entrare nelle vie strette del borgo. Ogni volta che ho visitato Ostuni, la chiesa era chiusa quindi non ho avuto modo di entrarci, per questo 4 stelle. Consiglio per chi visita Ostuni di dedicare qualche minuto a visitare questa chiesa. Walking along the walls of the village of Ostuni (via O. Quarta) you come across this small church set between the walls and the surrounding houses. The church is very well maintained and simple in its details. A staircase allows you to enter the narrow streets of the village. Every time I visited Ostuni, the church was closed so I had no way to get into it, for this 4 stars. I recommend for those visiting Ostuni to spend a few minutes visiting this church.

Originariamente era una piccola cappella con porta che dava all'esterno della cinta muraria. Ora ha una scalinata ed affaccio sul belvedere della città vecchia. All'interno la madonna con la stella. Lateralmente uno spiazzo, su cui si affacciano locali della movida notturna. Church with a single nave, inconspicuous is one of the entrances to the old city of Ostuni. Originally it was a small chapel with a door that overlooked the walls. Now it has a staircase and overlooking the belvedere of the old city. Inside the Madonna with the star. On the side there is a clearing, overlooked by nightlife clubs.
