G	Giacomo Resta on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il nucleo originario della chiesa e dell' annesso convento, risalente al XV secolo, subì tra il XVII e il XVIII secolo vari ampliamenti e ristrutturazioni, prima ad opera dei frati carmelitani, poi della Confraternita della Madonna del Carmine. L' aspetto attuale si deve all' ultima ristrutturazione iniziata nel 1891, in cui venne realizzata la facciata della chiesa in stile neoclassico, con dettagli che esaltassero l' ordine carmelitano, quali la scritta sul timpano, le statue di Sant' Elia e Sant' Eliseo nelle nicchie, l' altorilievo della Madonna sui peccatori avvolti dalle fiamme nel frontone. L' interno è costituito da una sola navata con soffitto a crociera, contenente sei cappelle con altari barocchi in pietra e dipinti della seconda metà del '700 di tradizione napoletana. The original nucleus of the church and the adjoining convent, dating back to the fifteenth century, underwent various extensions and renovations between the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, first by the Carmelite friars, then by the Confraternity of the Madonna del Carmine. The current appearance is due to the last renovation begun in 1891, in which the façade of the church was built in neoclassical style, with details that exalt the Carmelite order, such as the inscription on the tympanum, the statues of Sant 'Elia and Sant' Elisha in the niches, the high relief of the Madonna on sinners enveloped in flames in the pediment. The interior consists of a single nave with a cross ceiling, containing six chapels with stone baroque altars and paintings from the second half of the 18th century of the Neapolitan tradition.
C	Carmela Papappicco on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Questa Confraternita, è dedicata alla Madonna del Carmine Protettrice e Patrona di Ostuni e,possiamo trovarla all'ingresso nella Città Bianca, in una zona periferica La Chiesa e il Convento, sorsero nella seconda metà del XV secolo. L'interno, é composto da un'unica Navata con sei Cappelle laterali, tre per parte, ognuna di esse avente un ricco altare con dipinti riguardanti vari Santi,tra i quali: la Madonna del Carmine, Santa Lucia, San Michele Arcangelo da un lato; Santa Teresa d' Avila, Sant' Anna e, il dipinto della Crocifissione dall'altra. Ha Abside con al centro la statua in pietra della Veneranda cui é dedicato questo luogo sacro e, in alto, il Crocifisso ligneo. Gli intensissimi affreschi della volta, furono realizzati nel 1950 e riguardano scene della vita carmelitana. La facciata esterna anche questa completamente edificata a pietra viva e scolpita, ha due alte colonne per parte, ai lati del Portale e,sul frontone rotondeggiante, in cima, svettano figure, sempre in pietra, tra le quali due aquile con ali chiuse. Questa, è una Chiesa molto interessante dal punto di vista strutturale e architettonico: è un autentico capolavoro di arte, visitabile continuamente da numerosi fedeli e turisti! Abside has in the center a stone statue of the Veneranda to which this sacred place is dedicated and, above, the wooden Crucifix. The very intense frescoes of the vault, were made in 1950 and concern scenes from the Carmelite life. The external façade, which is also completely built with living and sculpted stone, has two tall columns on each side, on the sides of the Portal and, on the rounded pediment, at the top, stand out figures, always in stone, including two eagles with closed wings. This is a very interesting Church from the structural and architectural point of view: it is an authentic masterpiece of art, which can be visited continuously by numerous faithful and tourists!
A	Andrea Russo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Questa chiesa si trova poco fuori il centro storico di Ostuni, al confine con la nuova città e circondata da abitazioni nuove. La chiesa esternamente si presenta molto ben curata e piena di dettagli e una grande scritta in latino. Non sono potuto entrare all'interno in quanto visitata in serata, ma credo valga la pena visitarla. Consiglio di visitare questa chiesa anche se leggermente fuori le mura cittadine o in ogni caso parcheggiando la propria auto nell'area che si trova proprio difronte la chiesa. This church is located just outside the historic center of Ostuni, on the border with the new city and surrounded by new homes. The church externally is very well cared for and full of details and a large inscription in Latin. I couldn't go inside as I visited in the evening, but I think it's worth visiting. I recommend visiting this church even if it's slightly outside the city walls or in any case parking your car in the area that is right in front of the church.

M	MARIO MORETTI ZOOM MASTER on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il complesso della Confraternita del Carmine fa bella mostra di sé sotto il lato sud della Cinta Muraria del Centro Storico. La Confraternita si raggiunge percorrendo a piedi Via Tamborrino e poi Via Giosuè Pinto a partire da Piazza della Liberta. Per mancanza di tempo, noi abbiamo dovuto accontentarci di vederla da lontano, ma varrebbe la pena di visitarla. The complex of the Confraternity of the Carmine makes a fine show of itself under the south side of the Cinta Muraria of the Historic Center. The Confraternity can be reached by walking along Via Tamborrino and then Via Giosuè Pinto starting from Piazza della Liberta. Due to lack of time, we had to content ourselves with seeing it from afar, but it would be worth visiting.
