La semplice facciata, scandita da due lesene con frontone spezzato recante lo stemma del vescovo Vincenzo Meligne, è caratterizzata dall'elegante portale scolpito di gusto gotico-rinascimentale, realizzato nel 1450 e posto in origine sulla facciata di una chiesa medievale abbattuta nel 1870. È costituito da una lunetta con bassorilievo della Dormitio Mariae, in cui la Vergine sul letto di morte è vegliata dagli Apostoli, sormontata da una imponente trabeazione scolpita a ghirlande ed una cuspide con bassorilievo dell'Assunzione in cielo di Maria. L'interno, a navata unica con volta a botte lunettata, non conserva traccia dell'originaria struttura. Presenta pochi elementi artistici di rilievo, tra cui una Madonna con Bambino e Santi Gioacchino, Anna e Giuseppe, olio su tela del '600 di fra' Giacomo da San Vito, una statua lignea seicentesca di Sant'Oronzo ed una statua lignea settecentesca della Madonna del Buon Consiglio. The construction, begun in 1628, was completed in 1637. The simple façade, punctuated by two pilasters with a broken pediment bearing the coat of arms of Bishop Vincenzo Meligne, is characterized by the elegant portal carved in Gothic-Renaissance style, built in 1450 and originally placed on the facade of a medieval church demolished in 1870. It consists of a lunette with a bas-relief of the Dormition of Mary, in which the Virgin on her deathbed is watched over by the Apostles, topped by an imposing entablature carved garlands and a spire with bas-relief of the Assumption into heaven of Mary. The interior, with a single nave and a barrel vault with lunettes, does not retain any trace of the original structure. It has few significant artistic elements, including a Madonna with Child and Saints Gioacchino, Anna and Giuseppe, oil on canvas from the 17th century by Fra 'Giacomo da San Vito, a seventeenth-century wooden statue of Sant'Oronzo and an eighteenth-century wooden statue of the Madonna of the Good Council.

Gli orari di apertura non sempre sono esatti, ma di solito al mattino prima delle 12 e al pomeriggio dopo le 16 dovrebbe essere aperta (noi ci siamo stati verso le 11:45 ed era aperta). Small church The church is small and is just a few steps from Piazza Libertà. Interesting decorations with marbles. The opening times are not always exact, but usually in the morning before 12 noon and in the afternoon after 4 pm it should be open (we were there around 11:45 am and it was open).
M	MARIO MORETTI ZOOM MASTER on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Durante la nostra visita pomeridiana ad Ostuni, mentre da Piazza della Libertà ci stavamo dirigendo verso Corso Camillo Benso Cavour, abbiamo notato ed ammirato la facciata della Chiesa dello Spirito Santo. L’aspetto non è comune e degno di nota, con l’ampia gradinata piramidale, che conduce al portone di accesso, incastonato in un bellissimo portale in pietra gentile, sormontato da un semplice rosone tondo. Più sopra, una stele con la croce è inserita in un vano che interrompe le diagonali del contorno. Peccato che il portone fosse chiuso, perciò non abbiamo visto l’interno che riteniamo molto interessante. During our afternoon visit to Ostuni, while from Piazza della Libertà we were heading towards Corso Camillo Benso Cavour, we noticed and admired the facade of the Church of the Holy Spirit. The appearance is not common and noteworthy, with the wide pyramid-shaped staircase leading to the entrance door, set in a beautiful portal in gentle stone, surmounted by a simple round rose window. Above, a stele with the cross is inserted in a compartment that interrupts the diagonals of the outline. Too bad the door was closed, so we didn't see the inside which we think is very interesting.
V	VESNA MITIĆ on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Crkva Duha Svetoga sagrađena je između 1629. i 1637. godine. Oko crkve izgrađeno je nekoliko još uvijek postojećih baroknih palača sa lođama i portalima. Vanjski dio ostao je isti kao i u 17. stoljeću, dok je unutrašnjost uništena. Sam portal je mnogo stariji od crkve. Portal je naknadno umetnut na pročelje. The Church of the Holy Spirit was built between 1629 and 1637. Several still existing baroque palaces with loggias and portals were built around the church. The exterior remained the same as in the 17th century, while the interior was destroyed. The portal itself is much older than the church. The portal was subsequently inserted into the façade.
