M	Massimo Ferrari on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ L'imponente costruzione dedicata a San Michele Arcangelo è il frutto di numerosi interventi che si sono succeduti a partire dal XIII secolo. La sua forma attuale risale alla fine del 1700, quando fu costruita la facciata in pietra serena scandita da cornici e lesene, caratterizzata da un portale arcuato, delimitato da due colonne e incassato nella massa muraria. Addossata al lato interno della facciata, sopra la porta di ingresso, vi è una bella cantoria lignea con un maestoso organo settecentesco rifatto nel 1794 da Pietro Agati, famoso organaro pistoiese. Le tre navate della chiesa luminosa si rifanno a canoni rinascimentali toscani e convergono su altrettanti altari seicenteschi di pietra serena: su quello della navata centrale spicca un quadro di buona fattura raffigurante il santo titolare, copia di un celebre dipinto del bolognese Guido Reni, alla cui scuola anche questo dipinto è attribuibile. A fianco della chiesa merita attenzione anche il grande edificio della canonica, frutto di rifacimenti settecenteschi, seguiti ad un incendio che distrusse anche gli archivi parrocchiali, nel 1642. The imposing building dedicated to San Michele Arcangelo is the result of numerous interventions that took place from the 13th century onwards. Its current form dates back to the end of the 1700s, when the façade was built in stone and decorated with cornices and pilasters, characterized by an arched portal, delimited by two columns and embedded in the masonry. Leaning against the inside of the façade, above the entrance door, there is a beautiful wooden choir with a majestic eighteenth-century organ rebuilt in 1794 by Pietro Agati, a famous organ from Pistoia. The three naves of the luminous church are inspired by Tuscan renaissance canons and converge on as many seventeenth-century stone altarpieces: on the central nave there is a picture of good work representing the titular saint, a copy of a famous painting by the Bolognese artist Guido Reni. school too this painting is attributable. Next to the church, the large building of the parsonage, the result of eighteenth-century reconstructions, after a fire that also destroyed the parish archives, deserves attention, in 1642.
