Tale chiesa, sebbene di data incerta, è di costruzione molto antica. Non più di un secolo fa è stata ampliata e rimodernata dall'arciprete Baldassarre Lobai, uomo di rara cultura e religioso convinto. La chiesa, prima dei sisma del 1980, era ben conservata e si sviluppava in più arcate con in fondo l'altare maggiore e due cappelle laterali per il culto, rispettivamente, del Santissimo Sacramento e di S. Francesco da Paola Patrono del paese. In questa chiesa venivano inumati i parrocchiani.Vi si possono scorgere importanti iscrizioni tra cui quella che ricorda una cerimonia di consacrazione risalente al 1727. Il coro, vera opera d'arte, eseguito dall'artista Francesco Errico fu Giuseppe e terminato nel 1877, è scomparso dopo il terremoto dell'80.
 Place full of history.
This church, although of uncertain date, is of very ancient construction. Not more than a century ago the archpriest Baldassare Lobai, a man of rare culture and a convinced religious, was enlarged and modernized. The church, well before the 1980 earthquake, was well preserved and developed into several arches with the main altar at the bottom and two side chapels for the worship of the Blessed Sacrament and St. Francis of Paola, patron of the town, respectively. The parishioners were buried in this church. Important inscriptions can be seen, including the one that recalls a consecration ceremony dating back to 1727. The choir, a true work of art, executed by the artist Francesco Errico was Giuseppe and finished in 1877, it is disappeared after the 1980 earthquake.
