V	Vanni Feresin on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Magnifico esempio di targo gotico goriziano. I fratelli Rabatta vollero la costruzione di questa piccola ma significativa chiesa nel 1398. Venne consacrata nel 1414 e fu un luogo da sempre simbolico sia nell'epoca comitale sia in quella asburgica infatti sul sagrato venivano accolti gli imperatori, le alte personalità che visitavano la città, giuravano e ricevevano il mandato i capitani provinciali, i grandi eventi avevano il loro culmine proprio davanti la piccola chiesa che aveva una grande importanza per i cittadini. Sulla facciata è ben visibile Michele Rabatta con in mano la bolla del Papa che acconsentiva la costruzione della chiesa e sua moglie Mariabea di Castel Pagano, sono ben visibili anche gli stemmi dei Rabatta e dei Castel Pagano. All'interno opere importanti dell'epoca barocca insieme a un Christus passus in legno del XVII secolo. Magnificent example of a Gorizia gothic plaque. The Rabatta brothers wanted the construction of this small but significant church in 1398. It was consecrated in 1414 and was always a symbolic place both in the Earl's and the Habsburg era. In fact, the emperors and the high personalities who visited the city were welcomed in the churchyard , the provincial captains swore and received the mandate, the great events had their culmination just in front of the small church that had a great importance for the citizens. On the façade is clearly visible Michele Rabatta holding the Pope's bull that consented the construction of the church and his wife Mariabea of Castel Pagano, the coats of arms of the Rabatta and Castel Pagano are also clearly visible. Inside, important works from the Baroque period along with a wooden Christus passus from the 17th century.

Il castello di Gorizia è conservato splendidamente e tutto il giardino antistante è curatissimo. Luogo ideale per una splendida gita visto anche i bei sentieri che scendono dallo stesso. Costruita nel 1398, venne trasformata in deposito d'armi durante la prima guerra mondiale, con l'apertura di feritoie lungo le pareti. Restaurata successivamente, contiene anche 2 splendide pale dipinte, una delle quali probabilmente del Tintoretto ( o di suo figlio..). It is a little gem, little known, located near the castle of Gorizia. Built in 1398, it was transformed into a weapon store during the First World War, with the opening of slits along the walls. È situata sul colle del castello e con questo costituisce una delle immagini tradizionali della città.I lavori per la costruzione della cappella, che avrebbe offerto un luogo di preghiera agli abitanti del Borgo Castello, vennero avviati nel 1398 sotto ordine dei fratelli Michele e Giovanni de Rabatta, i quali decidono di dedicarla al Santo Spirito. Secondo alcuni, nel luogo di costruzione della chiesa preesisteva una cappella dedicata a San Acazio, mentre secondo altri era presente un capitello con un'immagine sacra. I lavori vennero ultimati il 22 gennaio 1414. La chiesa, che venne restaurata nel 1889 a cura del Comune, non subì particolari danni nel corso dei bombardamenti della prima guerra mondiale, che invece lesionarono seriamente il vicino castello. Nel 1915-17 venne usata come deposito per munizioni; successivamente il tetto fu distrutto ed i muri bucati per essere usati come feritoie. Nel 1931 la Regia Sovraintendenza alle Antichità e Belle Arti di Trieste provvede ai restauri della cappella. The Chapel of Santo Spirito is one of the oldest churches in Gorizia. It is located on the castle hill and thus constitutes one of the traditional images of the city.The works for the construction of the chapel, which would have offered a place of prayer to the inhabitants of Borgo Castello, were started in 1398 under the orders of the brothers Michele and Giovanni de Rabatta, who decide to dedicate it to the Holy Spirit. According to some, in the place of construction of the church there was a chapel dedicated to San Acazio, while according to others there was a capital with a sacred image. The works were completed on January 22, 1414. The church, which was restored in 1889 by the Municipality, did not suffer particular damage during the bombings of the First World War, which instead seriously damaged the nearby castle. In 1915-17 it was used as a depot for ammunition; subsequently the roof was destroyed and the walls pierced to be used as loopholes. In 1931 the Royal Superintendency of Antiquities and Fine Arts of Trieste provided for the restoration of the chapel.
