Oltre a una sterile visita sono riuscito ad apprezzarla meglio grazie a una visita guidata (gratuita) offerta dal comune tutti i martedì sera in periodo estivo (per info rivolgersi alla pro loco di fronte al comune). Mediamente, ahimè, molte visite guidate risultano noiose e barbose soprattutto se chi ascolta è un pubblico eterogeneo, invece questa visita è stata un'esperienza meravigliosa. Ho scoperto curiosità e particolari della Chiesa e soprattutto abbiamo avuto l'onore di visitare l'ORATORIO appena dietro la chiesa che è un vero TESORO affrescato su più strati... un vero spettacolo (ma si può visitare solo mediante una visita guidata se non sbaglio). Truly beautiful. In addition to a sterile visit, I was able to appreciate it better thanks to a guided tour (free) offered by the municipality every Tuesday evening in summer (for info contact the local tourist board). On average, alas, many guided tours are boring and boring, especially if the listener is a heterogeneous audience, but this visit was a wonderful experience. I discovered curiosities and details of the Church and above all we had the honor of visiting the ORATORY just behind the church which is a true TREASURE frescoed on several layers ... a real show (but you can only visit it with a guided tour if not I'm wrong).
o	organista81 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Luogo di culto antichissimo (XI secolo), con tempio attuale settecentesco, si presenta come una grande chiesa molto curata, accogliente e sapientemente illuminata. Di pregio le opere artistiche ivi contenute. Interessante la torre campanaria, una delle più alte della Diocesi di Chiavari. An ancient place of worship (11th century), with a current 18th-century temple, it looks like a large, well-kept, welcoming and expertly illuminated church. The artistic works contained therein are valuable. Interesting is the bell tower, one of the highest in the Diocese of Chiavari.

M	Maria Cecilia Torri on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Costruita nel 1726 sui resti sui resti di una precedente pieve del X-XII sec., la chiesa deve il suo nome all'antica croce lignea con la figura del Cristo, ritrovata in riva al mare dopo una mareggiata, qui custodita. L'edificio è a navata unica con volta a botte. All'interno si conserva la scultura lignea dell'Immacolata di Anton Maria Maragliano e in sagrestia l'Ultima Cena del pittore monegliese Luca Cambiaso. La facciata, bianca e arancione, è in stile barocco, decorata da colonne e statue. Molto bello il grande mosaico di ciottoli, il "risseu", che decora il sagrato. Sul fianco destro della chiesa è murata una lapide datata 1290: rappresenta San Giorgio che uccide il drago ed è intitolata ai monegliesi che offrirono aiuto a Genova nella battaglia di Porto Pisano. Sono presenti anche i grandi anelli della catena che chiudeva il porto di Pisa e che furono donati dalla Repubblica di Genova agli alleati monegliesi. Moneglia infatti ebbe un ruolo importante nella battaglia navale della Meloria, che vide vincitori i Genovesi sui Pisani. Built in 1726 on the remains of a previous parish church of the 10th-12th century, the church owes its name to the ancient wooden cross with the figure of Christ, found on the seashore after a storm, kept here. The building has a single nave with a barrel vault. Inside there is the wooden sculpture of the Immaculate Conception by Anton Maria Maragliano and in the sacristy the Last Supper by the Monegliese painter Luca Cambiaso. E	Elle on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chiesa all'interno del paese e molto vicina alla spiaggia ..bella all'interno ricca di statue sacre e pitture..mi è piaciuto molto il sagrato originale con i disegni creati dai ciotoli !!! Church inside the village and very close to the beach .. beautiful inside full of sacred statues and paintings .. I really liked the original churchyard with the designs created by the pebbles !!!

L'odierna chiesa fu edificata, ad unica navata, nel 1725 sui resti della precedente struttura crollata per motivi sconosciuti. All'interno si possono ammirare interessanti opere come la bella statua dell'Immacolata concezione posta nel terzo altare della parte destra. Mentre nel quarto altare sinistro un crocifisso bizantino e una tela ritraente la Madonna delle Grazie. Nella facciata, in stile barocco, sono visibili nella parte destra due anelli della catena del porto di Pisa. L	Luca G76 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chiesa a navata unica, di generose dimensioni, edificata, così come possiamo vederla oggi, nella prima metà del 1700 sui resti di un precedente edificio di culto crollato. Le origini risalgono tra il 1100 e il 1200 ma oggi ci appare una struttura alquanto anonima, senza alcuna peculiarità, dall'apparato decorativo ridondante benché ammalorato da umidità e altri problemi, accentuati dalla totale mancanza di una seria manutenzione programmata e sistematica. La facciata, tripartita, è sormontata da un tradizionale timpano con volute a raccordo tra le sezioni verticali della stessa, priva di sculture o decorazioni. Spicca l'alto campanile (storto)!
