★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place to visit, even if it was crowded. No need to buy a ticket for the church if you already get one for the monastery and the roof since you can see the church from above. There is also a nice pastry place inside the monastery, which can be accessed without paying.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stunning, beautiful, magnificent church. Check out the wooden wheel to the right of the altar. The story is wheel was used to pass sacred offerings directly into the church. We heard a woman stating babies were placed from the outside to give to the church if a parent was unable to care for the infant. The dog carrying the torch in the front of the altar is also worth seeing. Definitely pay for the whole tour including the roof. It’s incredible to see the dome from above and the original, wooden roof.

I visited the Church and Terrace for €7 in December 2021 and it was a beautiful building to finish off my day in Palermo with.
The church is very intricate, the gardens are beautiful and the terraces, breathtaking, with a 360* view of the city.
Highly recommend!
