★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This late 16th century edifice was the national church of Scotland until 2004. Disgracefully and stupidly. the Pontifical Scots College simply abandoned it in 1962 and it was formally deconsecrated in 2004. However, the edifice and much of the interior furnishings are intact and well cared for by the present owners. They seem sympathetic to genuine inquiries by interested visitors.
