The church of San Pietro Martire is a monumental Catholic place of worship in Naples; it is, par excellence, the Chapel of the University of Naples Federico II. It borders the cloister of the same name, today the seat of the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy of the same university.

La domenica si celebra la liturgia alle 12.00.
Ci sono affreschi e icone ben tenute.
Church reopened after years of restoration. Open in the evening at 8.00 pm for prayers organized by the Community of Sant'Egidio.
On Sunday the liturgy is celebrated at 12.00.
There are well-kept frescoes and icons.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chiesa fondata agli inizi del '300, poi ristrutturata dal rinascimento fino agli stucchi del '700. Contiene, grazie al restauro Unesco completato per tre quarti vestigia di tutte le epoche. Frammenti pregevoli delle tombe monumentali dei mecenati e dipinti antichi. Da vedere se si vuole conoscere un po' tutta l'arte commissionata a Napoli nei secoli. Gestita dalla Comunità di Sant’Egidio e visitabile grazie all’Associazione Culturale Respiriamo Arte. Confinante col grande chiostro seicentesco, ora parte della Facolta di Lettere dell'Università, da dove si ammirano la coeva cupola maiolicata e il campanile.
Church founded at the beginning of the '300, then restructured from the Renaissance up to the stuccoes of the' 700. It contains, thanks to the Unesco restoration completed for three quarters, vestiges of all eras. Valuable fragments of the monumental tombs of patrons and ancient paintings. A must see if you want to know a little about all the art commissioned in Naples over the centuries. Managed by the Community of Sant’Egidio and can be visited thanks to the Breathe Art Cultural Association. Bordering the large seventeenth-century cloister, now part of the University's Faculty of Letters, from where you can admire the coeval majolica dome and the bell tower.
