Sull'architrave della porta una scritta ricorda l'anno la ricostruzione del 1513. Church built outside the castle, along the road that leads from Miranda to Terni via Valenza, of medieval origin. On the lintel of the door, an inscription recalls the year the reconstruction of 1513.
G	GianLuke Skyrunner on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Con somma sorpresa tra la fitta radura prima di arrivare a Miranda si trova questa chiesa abbandonata alla rigogliosa natura in un posto riparato con un fontanile accanto. Qualche parte risulta essere bella a vedersi come il portico con architravi esterno. Indubbiamente frequentata un tempo se non altro per le migliori condizioni della mulattiera che scende da Miranda è un pò come tutto il percorso scarsamente segnalata ed al viaggiatore non si fa riconoscere immediatamente come antico luogo di culto. La chiesa ed il percorso meriterebbero molto più di un avanzato stato di abbandono With great surprise between the thick clearing before arriving in Miranda is this church abandoned to the luxuriant nature in a sheltered place with a fountain next to it. Some parts appear to be beautiful to be seen as the porch with external architraves. Undoubtedly once frequented, if only for the better conditions of the mule track that descends from Miranda, it is a bit like the whole poorly signposted route and the traveler is not immediately recognized as an ancient place of worship. The church and the path would deserve much more than an advanced state of abandonment
G	Gabriel Maine on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Attraverso un incantevole sentiero in pietra si scende dal paese di Miranda e dopo 500 metri si arriva alla chiesa. Purtroppo questa stradina -da percorrere necessariamente a piedi- è molto deteriorata. Anche la bella chiesa è in un evidente stato di abbandono e nonostante si presenti ancora integra, non tarderà troppo nel venire distrutta e poi inghiottita dalla natura circostante assieme alla fontanella che gli sta accanto. In una placca si può leggere che è stata restaurata nel 1950 ed avrebbe beneficiato di altri interventi conservativi nel 2013. A giudicare dalle fotografie, le mure all'interno sono state attaccate dall'umidità ma la struttura, le pareti, il tetto sembrano ancora reggere. Peccato se non si fa nulla... Posto ideale per un eremo... Un possibile modello di riferimento: il monastero della Romita a Carsulae. Unfortunately, this road - which must necessarily be covered on foot - is very deteriorated. Even the beautiful church is in an evident state of abandonment and although it is still intact, it will not take too long to be destroyed and then swallowed by the surrounding nature together with the fountain next to it. On a plaque it can be read that it was restored in 1950 and would have benefited from other conservation interventions in 2013. Judging from the photographs, the walls inside have been attacked by humidity but the structure, the walls, the roof still seem to hold up. Too bad if nothing is done ... Ideal place for a hermitage ... A possible reference model: the Romita monastery in Carsulae.
