Beautiful church I loved the cloister. A pleasant discovery the inside, from the outside it looks more bare!

Church without infamy and without praise, but at least it is kept quite well. Clean, tidy, large enough and stylistically pleasing. It deserves 4 stars.

Wonderful, I was looking for a little peace .. I attended the last meeting I was that the parish priest plans every Tuesday !!! completely satisfied !! .. ??‍♀️???

Beautiful church of historical interest, well maintained and always clean. Don Franco is a very active parish priest and very much involves the community.

Very beautiful church, clean Holy young Priest who never misses an opportunity to create events, catechesis, prayers, Holy Masses! Very active Church and also precise and scrupulous Sacristan! If all the churches were conducted like this the difference would be felt everywhere! Thanks

The first writings that testify to the existence of the church date back to 1238 before the convent was built. The church has a gabled façade, at the top there is a semicircular window. Above the portal there is a 17th century lunette depicting the Virgin and Child. Bernardino da Siena is depicted in the marble architrave. The interior has a single nave. On the left is the 1328 sepulchral monument of Castruccio Castracani's son by the Pisan Giovanni Balduccio and opposite is the tomb of Bishop Bernabò Malaspina. On the door of the sacristy there is a frescoed lunette representing Christ in piety between St. Clare and St. Francis, attributed to Priamo della Quercia. The central chapel houses the wooden choir and the eighteenth-century high altar, decorated with marble putti with the statues of San Francesco and Sant'Antonio. Several pictorial and sculptural works preserved here: in the first right altar the canvas of the Adoration of the shepherds. In the second altar the Madonna enthroned with the Child and the saints Peter, Girolamo, Antonio and Giovanni Battista. In the chapel on the left there is the painting of the Madonna enthroned with the Child and saints, in the fourth left altar, a Madonna and Child with the saints Bernardino and Salvatore da Orta, in the counter-façade the Adoration of the Magi. The church is very beautiful and interesting, the outside has a very minimal style what is most surprising and the inside, which I found really interesting. The porch with a really nice garden, has beautiful frescoes, which deserve a restoration to preserve them! ..
