Risalente al 1339 dedicata a San Nicolò, fu ricostruita nel 1615 e dedicata a San Carlo, ai tempi sede dei Confratelli della Buona Morte.
Negli ultimi decenni del XX secolo venne nuovamente restaurata con l'eliminazione di una struttura che creava un soppalco nella sacrestia permettendo di valorizzare gli affreschi qui presenti. Un nuovo intervento si è protratto dal 2004 sino al 2011, con una revisione generale della struttura e, in particolare, con la valorizzazione, in questa occasione, degli affreschi presenti nella sala.
Utilizzata anche per esposizioni varie.
Small church adjacent to the Nativity of Mary near the historic center of the city.
Dating back to 1339 dedicated to San Nicolò, it was rebuilt in 1615 and dedicated to San Carlo, at the time the seat of the Confratelli della Buona Morte.
In the last decades of the twentieth century it was restored again with the elimination of a structure that created a mezzanine in the sacristy allowing to enhance the frescoes present here. A new intervention lasted from 2004 until 2011, with a general overhaul of the structure and, in particular, with the enhancement, on this occasion, of the frescoes in the room.
Also used for various exhibitions.
