★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa di Maria Discepola, attualmente rettoria ma in precedenza chiesa parrocchiale di Gesù Maestro, è parte di un grandioso complesso educativo che vede le sue origini negli anni ’20 del secolo XX, e rimanda a due apostoli, il barnabita padre Giovanni Semeria e il sacerdote don Giovanni Minozzi. Sono legati non dallo stesso nome ma da una comune passione apostolica verso i poveri orfani vittime della prima guerra mondiale, che termina la belligeranza nel 1918, ma lascia nei decenni successivi le ferite da rimarginare. Tra i tanti Istituti fondati vi è il "Principe di Piemonte" di Potenza, intitolato appunto al Principe di Piemonte, allora Umberto di Savoia, passato poi alla storia sotto il titolo di "re di Maggio", per aver governato per un solo mese di Maggio, sorto in seguito alla visita dei reali d’Italia a Potenza. La chiesa annessa al complesso dell'Istituto nasce alla fine degli anni '50 del XX secolo e da subito fu dedicata a Gesù Maestro. Nel 2010 la chiesa è stata intitolata a Maria Discepola ed è diventata rettoria in seguito alla costruzione del nuovo complesso parrocchiale, realizzato al centro del nuovo rione di Macchia Romana, la cui chiesa ha preso il titolo di Gesù Maestro.
 The church of Maria Discepola, currently a rectory but formerly the parish church of Jesus Master, is part of a grandiose educational complex that has its origins in the 1920s, and refers to two apostles, the Barnabite father Giovanni Semeria and the priest Don Giovanni Minozzi. They are linked not by the same name but by a common apostolic passion towards the poor orphans victims of the First World War, which ended the belligerence in 1918, but left the wounds to be healed in the following decades. Among the many institutes founded there is the "Prince of Piedmont" of Potenza, named after the Prince of Piedmont, then Umberto of Savoy, then went down in history under the title of "King of May", for having governed for a single month of May, built following the visit of the royals of Italy to Potenza. The church annexed to the Institute complex was born in the late 1950s and was immediately dedicated to Jesus Master. In 2010 the church was named after Maria Discepola and became rectory following the construction of the new parish complex, built in the center of the new district of Macchia Romana, whose church took the title of Jesus Master.
