È una chiesa di stile barocco quindi molto interessante da visitare e da ammirare visti i numerosi dipinti e quadri sulle volte che possiede e che sono stato recentemente restaurati. La Chiesa, seppur leggermente buia, risulta interessante come spazi, storicità e oggetti interni. Sorta su una preesistente struttura sempre dedicata alla conversione di S.Paolo( un documento di fine 200' cita già una Porta Sancti Pauli), la prima costruzione passò anche alla gestione degli Agostiniani, ma furono i Filippini, a fine 700' a procedere all'edificazione del secondo e attuale edificio. Una struttura che vede al suo interno alcune opere di assoluto interesse come un affresco seicentesco di grande dimensioni raffigurante la Vergine, di scuola fiamminga ma non meno una statua in legno di S.Sebastiano o ancora una notevole struttura lignea, raffigurante S.Anna e una giovane Maria. Come tante altre, anche questa Chiesa abbisognerebbe di restauri qua e là. Interno grandioso, con grandi affreschi che rappresentano momenti della vita di San Paolo, che se al puro valore artistico non contribuiscono in modo notevole, scenica ente sono molto validi. Non capisco perché quello sulla parete dell'ingresso, sopra la sottostante porta, sia denominato discorso dell'Aeropago quando mi sembra invece una versione della Scuola di Atene del Raffaello. Notevoli alcuni confessionali , ma soprattutto il pavimento in legno, che in inverno risulta provvisto di un riscaldamento, sottostante. Proprio come i moderni riscaldamenti a pavimento. Non c'era nessuno per domandare se è un manufatto recente o meno. Chi può arricchire con informazioni relative?
