Mi presento alle 12.10 per chiedere il permesso di visitare la cappella del Seminario e l'Epifania del XVI secolo, segnalata anche dall'autorevole Touring Club. Una signora mi dice che è ora di pranzo, mi chiede di tornare più tardi. Nessun problema, è giusto, dato che non avevo avvisato. Torno alle 17.00, suono il campanello; una suora, gentilissima tra l'altro, mi dice di attendere davanti al portone, deve chiedere col cellulare. Va bene. Mi passa la persona in questione, riformulo la richiesta di visitare l'opera. Molto gentilmente. Non è possibile, senza alcuna ragione...l'opera in questione non esiste. Affermo ironicamente che la Touring si sarà sbagliata. La risposta appare scontata..."ovvio, si è sbagliata". Strano che la suora in precedenza mi avesse chiesto se desiderassi visitare la cappella minore o la maggiore. Ecco, in questi casi è ovvio trarre delle lecite conclusioni. Sto girando il Piemonte da qualche giorno e ho trovato gente splendida, disponibile, simpatica. L'unico posto in cui mi è stata letteralmente chiusa la porta in faccia è stato questo. Un luogo di religiosi. Fa male. Lasciare una persona sulla soglia (e non mi riferisco alla suora, dispiaciutissima e gentile, ma gli ordini superiori sono intangibili). Squallido. Segnalerò la cosa ai Beni culturali...e non solo di Asti. I tell a very bad episode that happened to me yesterday in this place, indeed outside, since I was not allowed to cross the threshold. I have been touring Piedmont for a few days and I have found splendid, helpful and friendly people. The only place where the door was literally closed in my face was this. A place of religious. It hurts. Leave a person in the doorway (and I'm not referring to the nun, very sorry and kind, but the higher orders are intangible). Sleazy. I will report this to the Cultural Heritage ... and not only in Asti.
