Forse nel 1647 (data incisa sull'architrave di ingresso) la chiesa venne ulteriormente ingrandita raggiungendo le dimensioni attuali. E' dedicata a Santa Caterina d'Alessandria, martire del IV secolo. La chiesa (e la piazzetta antistante) sono punto di sosta quasi obbligato per chi percorre l'Alta Via; notevoli anche i panorami che si aprono sia a levante che a ponente. The first written information of the church dates back to 1326 but it is probable that the church mentioned in that document had already replaced a much older although less large building. Perhaps in 1647 (date engraved on the entrance architrave) the church was further enlarged reaching its present size. It is dedicated to Saint Catherine of Alexandria, martyr of the fourth century. The church (and the square in front of it) are an almost obligatory stopping point for those traveling along the Alta Via; the panoramas that open both to the east and to the west are also remarkable.
