★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Era la chiesa dei morti a Spezia. I cadaveri dei poveri venivano esposti al pubblico prima di essere sepolti , prima e durante la cerimonia funebre. Oggi si vedono nel muro sulla sinistra ancora i supporti in ferro delle barelle.
It was the church of the dead in La Spezia. The bodies of the poor were exposed to the public before being buried, before and during the funeral ceremony. Today the iron supports of the stretchers are still visible in the wall on the left.

Viene eretta a parrocchia nel XIX, da un precedente oratorio esistente dal 1543.
La facciata è molto semplice.
L'interno è ad unica navata, a pianta longitudinale, con decorazioni barocche.
Le caratteristiche di pregio della chiesa sono:
- crocifissi del settecento
- cupola ottagonale con decorazioni barocche
- pala d'altare "Madonna del Suffragio di Domenico Fiasella.
Ingresso: libero.
The church of Saints John and Augustine is located in the historic center of La Spezia.
It was erected as a parish in the nineteenth, from a previous oratory existing from 1543.
The facade is very simple.
The interior has a single nave, with a longitudinal plan, with baroque decorations.
The valuable features of the church are:
- crucifixes of the eighteenth century
- octagonal dome with baroque decorations
- altarpiece "Madonna del Suffragio by Domenico Fiasella.
