Of Italy is the birth place of Chianti wine .
It was historically associated with a squsl bottle enclosed in a straw basket called fiasco.
Now most of the wines packed in standard bottles.
Wines made here are labelled as
Chianti classico .
In 1995 it becomes legal to produce a chianti with 100% sangiovese grapes.
For a wine to retain the name of Chianti it must be produced with at least 80% of sangiovese grapes.
Lot of wine yards.the area covered are app 260 sq km.from the city of florence to the north and Siena to the south.
The soil is richer and more fertile.
