★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband, myself & 2 friends attended Chef Vary's cooking class while visiting Florence. It was a wonderful experience! With a small group of 8, Chef was able to give us individual help and teach us 3 wonderful recipes; we also we learned a lot about Italian cuisine and ingredients. The meal (that we cooked ourselves) was delicious especially paired with the complimentary wine. I highly recommend this event - it was a highlight of our visit to this beautiful city!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chef Vary is fabulous! She curated an amazing Italian "Thanksgiving" feast for us to prepare as we took her class on American Thanksgiving! Turkey meatballs, sweet potato gnocchi and a savory pie. All topped off with blueberry tiramisu! It was truly one of the best meals and evenings of our life. Vary and Edo made us feel so welcome in their home and it was the perfect Italian cooking experience. Right in the heart of Florence, you will find Florence's true heart, Chef Vary! A must for any cooking fan visiting Firenze!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What an experience! We were a group of 10 travelling Italy together and had an absolute blast with Chef Vary and her husband in their home. We made 3 pasta dishes and they were probably the best pasta we had in all of Italy! She had us 'working' the pasta, chopping the carrots and tomatoes (along with everything else) and enjoying the wine! Thanks so much for the memory!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 3,5/5 experience for me unfortunately:( I found Chef Vary’s attitude to be more than bold and sassy, borderline rude. I felt embarassed to ask questions because they were responded to with harsh critique. Also would have hoped for a bit more than just the two pasta dishes…a welcome drink? An appetizer?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went to the pasta class, there was 6 of us in our whole class. The chef was knowledgeable and so nice, she helped our group with our pasta and gave exact and helpful instructions. The pasta sauce was seasonal and unique, pears and ricotta for one and caramelized tomatoes for the fettuccine. I think I'll have to buy a pasta maker now, I'm not sure I'll ever be able to recreate this at home, but we had a ton of fun.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vary is a great chef! We were 4 people learning how to make delicious pasta and great sauces. Doing everything by ourselves, we will definitely remember how to do it (wasn’t just a show cooking). Waiting times we tried some wine and chatted with Vary’s husband about life. They are lovely and really fun their family business with passion. Go there if you have the chance!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had an excellent time cooking with Vary who provided a fun and easy going hospitality during the whole experience. We were pleasantly surprised to see the simplicity it takes to make different sorts of pasta and are eager to repeat the recipes we learned from this course as well as the many others that Vary shared with us afterward. Vary enticed us (of course with our full permission) to try "unusual" (at least to an American) ingredients we would typically never think to toss in with pasta, like minced capers or almonds instead of pine nuts, and we were NOT disappointed- my mouth is watering just remembering these dishes! She also put my husband to work, kneading the pasta, folding in the ricotta into the ravioli-- A+ on this! The place itself is a wonderfully tidy and charming setting which is also part of their wine/cheese shop (and home). In short, I highly recommend taking this fun, easy going, authentic Italian cooking class!
