O solo in occasione di qualche miracolo. Perché tenere chiusa una cosa che meriterebbe di essere valorizzata? In the Italian manner, it is closed without any knowledge of opening hours. Vale la pena cercarlo, anche se non ci sono indicazioni. Da piazza Regina Margherita, attraversando un ampio portone vicino alla chiesa parrocchiale, si accede a quello che resta del Foro. Procedendo verso sinistra, si nota una passerella di legno che porta alla grotta del mosaico. Unfortunately, there is not much left of the magnificent mosaic, made with tiles that are so small as to look like a painting. It is worth looking for, even if there are no indications. From Piazza Regina Margherita, through a large door near the parish church, you can access what remains of the Forum. Going to the left, there is a wooden walkway that leads to the mosaic cave.

Mio figlio si è laureato in Archeologia con una tesi che fa riferimento al "mosaico dei pesci" che è possibile ancora ammirare. Si ritiene che su questi mosaici venisse fatta scorrere l'acqua proveniente dall'acquedotto della Cannuceta per dare la sensazione che quei pesci si muovessero come vivi.... It is believed that the water coming from the Cannuceta aqueduct was run on these mosaics to give the feeling that those fish were moving as they lived .... It is a real treat to appreciate with a visit even if it is not easy to know when that door is open and the site accessible

He was really kind and tried to explain as much as he could. Apparently there is a lot of history in the place... it was very educational! Photo’s taken second half of Juin 2020.
